Nikkei hits fresh 15-yr highs above 20700

The Japanese equities index opened on a stronger note, with a positive gap of more than 400 points as traders cheered positive sentiments around Greece as markets expect a deal to be reached soon over Greek debt obligations.

USD/JPY firmer above 123.50

The bid tone in the USD/JPY pair increased in the Asian hours, lifting the major to fresh session highs near 123.60 levels. The major climbed higher on a sudden pick up in buying seen in the US dollar while traders continue to cheer upbeat US macro news.
