GBP/USD gets comfortable below 1.3000

GBP/USD continues to lower during the New York session, getting comfortable below the 1.30 mark after the latest bounce attempt was capped by 1.2996.

GBP/USD resumed the decline on Thursday, after a short-lived recovery the previous day, as recent easing measures from the BoE, plus Brexit concerns continue to take their toll on the pound. GBP/USD bottomed out at 1.2935 but managed to recover a few pips and it was last at  1.2955, 0.39% below its opening price.

GBP/USD levels to watch

As for technical levels, next supports could be found at 1.2935 (Aug 11 low), 1.2849 (Jul  low) and 1.2795 (Jul 6 low). On the flip side, resistances are seen at 1.3026 (Aug 11 high), 1.3093 (Aug 10 high), 1.3125 (10-day SMA) and 1.3174 (Aug 5 high).
