REC: UK employers pick up pace of hiring, Brexit challenge nears - RTRS

According to the UK’s Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), a group representing recruiters, the UK employers hired permanent workers through the recruitment firms at the quickest pace in three months in November.

However, the sharp rise in wage offers seen recently eased a bit.

The short supply of candidates underscored the importance for the government of coming up with a plan to avoid a big loss of workers from other European Union countries as Brexit approaches.

REC chief executive Kevin Green said: “The government must make a New Year’s resolution to ensure that the UK labor market remains successful in 2018.”
