EUR/JPY quiet, around 141.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The EUR/JPY started the week with the same tone it closed on Friday: steady, hovering around 141.00. The pair peaked at 141.17 and bottomed at 140.82. Early in Asia, stocks in Japan are flat, like the EUR/JPY, that is unable to move away from the 141.00 mark.

EUR/JPY steady, still bearish

Despite trading sideways since Friday’s Asian session the EUR/JPY seems to be facing downside pressure. According to Valeria Bednarik, Chief Analyst at FXStreet the 4-hour technical readings stand in bearish ground, in line with shorter time views.

Bednarik notes that a break below 140.40, a static support, is required to confirm a downward continuation for Monday.
