Fed's Bostic: Second coronavirus wave might lead people to stay home

Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic said on Thursday that he is worried that a second coronavirus wave might lead people to throw up their hand and stay home due to risk.

Bostic further added that he is also concerned about the risk of a second wave causing another economic shutdown.

Market reaction

The US Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback's performance against a basket of six major currencies, rose modestly in the last minutes. As of writing, the index was up 0.23% on the day at 97.45.
