AUD/JPY consolidating years highs

FXStreet (Guatemala) - AUD/JPY is trading at 96.38, slightly down -0.04% on the day, having posted a daily high at 96.49 and low at 96.33.

AUD/JPY has finally run out of steam post a rally that took it slightly above the high of the year to date at traded 96.54. Currently, spot is in neutral territory according to the hourly FXStreet OB/OS Index, while RSI is in neutral territory also at 49.93, down from it’s last hourly close at 70.96, while ADX is ranging above 30 at 22.20, down from 40.83 at the last hourly close. Looking to a daily chart again, RSI is at 51.78 while the 200 SMA is currently at 95.73, down from 95.76 at the last period close, and declining on the hourly AUD/JPY chart.

AUD/JPY Levels

Current price is 96.39, with resistance ahead at 96.42 (Monthly High), (Weekly High), (Annual High), 96.42 (Daily Open) and 96.49 (Daily High). Next support to the downside can be found at 96.33 (Daily Low), 96.27 (Daily Classic R3), 96.22 (Weekly Classic R1), 96.18 (Hourly 20 EMA) and 96.12 (YTD High).

NZ dairy auction not helping the Kiwi

Dairy auction prices in New Zealand had a big slide, reaching their lowest since January 2013, a negative input to take into consideration when trading the NZD. Looking further into the current pricing, it reveals that prices in NZ dollars have depreciated by 31% on an yearly basis.
